Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held a meeting with opposition parties
Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali is an Ethiopian politician serving as the 15th and current Prime Minister of Ethiopia since April 2 2018. He is the chairman of both the ruling Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) and the Oromo Democratic Party (ODP), which is one of the four coalition parties of the EPRDF. On Tuesday the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met opposition parties and promised and ensured free and fair election on the coming 2020 election. The Prime Minster has met 81 members of opposition parties to discuss ways of reforming the country’s electoral system, he said that this is the latest move in a campaign to open up a political arena dominated by his ruling coalition.
