Aleme is an Ethiopian comedy-drama that aired on EBS TV. The characters are relatable to our daily lives and make us think about our lives. We all have “Qagne” in your life who is always dependent, a Belete who is allergic to the English language, and the driver who is afraid of his wife. The actors deliver astonishing performance, and the chemistry among the cast is great.
Besides the characters, the series' storyline is relatable to anyone transitioning from one part of their lives to another, especially those in their 20's and 30's.
Many sitcoms have tried to cast senior actors as the main character and become the best show but no show has been able to do so. Aleme, however, nailed it exceptionally.
