Last Sunday, a campus guard fired at group of students leaving the campus. One of the students died at the spot while the other was wounded and taken to a hospital. The students protested the unlawful action and mourned yesterday. Mereja TV interviewed the University’s PR Head Ato Getnet Melese about the situation. Ato Melese told Mereja TV that the student who died was a 5th year mechanical engineering student and he was buried at his birth place in Southern Gonder. The other student is in hospital at the moment.
