Bereket Simon, a veteran politician and prominent member of the ruling party, has been arrested on allegedly misusing funds from Tiret Corporate. Ato Tadesse Kassa is also under arrest for the same charges. Tiret Corporate has been a business empire under the former Amharic National Democratic Movement.
