The glass bridge in China
Description
Zhangjiajie glass bridge is the longest and highest suspension glass bridge in Zhangjiajie, China that allows people to walk across. The bridge built as an attraction for tourists is glass bottomed and transparent. The bridge opened to the public on August 20, 2016, measures 430 meters in total length 6 meters in breadth and suspended about 300 meters above the ground. The bridge connects the ravine between two mountain cliffs in Zhangjiajie National forest park in China's central province. It is designed to carry up to 800 visitors at a time.
The narrow path, height and cracking visual effects on the glass are just a few of the terrifying factors of the bridge. After its opening, the bridge had to be temporarily closed because it was handling 10 times of it's allotted visitors per day. The 984- foot drop will certainly give you a freight as you look through its glass bottom.
